That’s right folks, it is already hop harvest time and we hand picked our Hops at the end of August and brewed with them the next day. Our hops are grown in Durham and are a Cascade/ Northern Brewer cross. We add them to the Mash and kettle in heaping doses until they we run out. Wet Hop’s have not been dried out yet, so they offer a different level of complexity to a beer. Come join us on Oct. 1 at the Pint & Plate for a special tasting. $4.00 Pints all day. Cheers.
Hello all, I trust that this posting finds you ready for some excited events that occur during this wonderful time of year. Oktoberfests and Pumpkin beers are in full affect (despite hitting the market in July). Perhaps we should release our Spring Ale next week to be ahead of the curve. Sorry Sammy A! J/K. First and foremost, I do not brew Pumpkin beers so we reached out to our Boyz at Big Boss for their Harvest Ale to complement our beer line up at the Pint & Plate. The Cider Bros. tasty cider is still flowing straight out of Durham. Lunch and dinners are going well, especially our $5 lunch specials from 11-2pm. Stop by during the week if you haven’t tried it. Also, Trivia started last week on Weds with the Geeks Who Drink!
Next things on our agenda for the brewery and tap room is the release of the Wet Hopped IPA, World Beer Festival Durham, and the 8th Annual NC Black Friday Cask Festival. Tickets are on sale for Black Friday. Cheers.
Tix for Black Friday went on sale today. $35 for advanced tickets and $45 at the door. If you are a Pint Hound contact the Brewer’s Guild for your personal promo code to get an extra 20% off tix price. Not a Pint Hound, no worries, go to ncbrewersguild.org and join today.
We are expecting over 25 casks from over 25 different NC breweries. Come join us from 3-8pm on Nov. 28, 2014. Check link below for tix.
American Wheat Ale
The crisp, clean flavors of Triangle’s American Wheat are refreshingly light, a thirst-quenching American-style unfiltered wheat beer. Released for the first time in celebration of our 7th Anniversary on the 4th of July 2014. Our American Wheat Ale is an all-malt beer, with over 50% of its malt derived from malted wheat and unmalted red wheat. It is fermented with an American style top-fermenting “ale” yeast, yielding a clean, balanced flavor that highlights the refreshingly light flavor of malted wheat. The head is unusually abundant due to the natural protein deposits of wheat, with a thick creamy consistency.
This beer can be served with a lemon wedge (popularized by Americans), to either cut the wheat or yeast edge. Some people find the lemon to be a flavorful snap … or an insult and something that damages the beer’s taste and head retention. We trust you to decide for yourself. 4.2%abv
